Wim Van den bergh is Research Director of Road Engineering Research Section and Department Chair of Infrastructure Works. His expertise focuses on the development of an integrated asphalt transformation model, impact of climate change on road structures, sustainable recycling , implementation of IT in road construction to optimize quality and sustainability and innovations such as special mixtures for heavy loads (port and airport). He teaches the subjects of Road Engineering and Asphalt Technology and is internationally active in committees, Erasmus programs and networking.
